Digital Twin & 3D Wayfinding Digital twin and 3D wayfinding agency

Large sites are hard to explain and harder to find your way around. We build a clear 3D model of yours and turn it into views people can explore and maps they can follow.

For developers, venue and mall operators, hospital and estates teams, and anyone who has to brief people on a site they have not seen.

A site plan that only the project team understands.

Visitors meet a flat map at the entrance and still ask security for directions. Investors and board members get a PDF of a masterplan and cannot picture which plot is which or how the phases fit together.

A 3D model fixes both. People see the place as it stands, or as it will stand, and can turn it, click it and follow a route. We build the visual model and the views. Live sensor data, indoor positioning and links to your other systems are only added when they are scoped with your own suppliers.

What clients use a visual twin for

  • Masterplan presentations to boards and investors
  • Mall and venue wayfinding kiosks
  • Stadium and arena gate and seat finding
  • Hospital visitor routes and lift finding
  • Operations and event briefings

What you get

You get a visual digital twin of your building, venue or masterplan, interactive 3D views, and wayfinding maps for kiosks, your website and phones, all from your drawings.

  1. Building & Venue 3D Model

A clean 3D model of your building, mall, stadium or hospital, built from your drawings or model, with floors you can lift off and zones in your colours.

  2. Masterplan & District Twin

A 3D view of a whole masterplan or district: plots, roads, landscape, phases and landmarks, ready to present to a board, investors or partners.

  3. Interactive 3D Views

Views people can turn, zoom and click: pick a building, a floor or a zone and open its name, its use and the renders or notes you choose.

  4. 3D Wayfinding Maps

Maps that show visitors where they are and how to reach a gate, a shop, a seat block or a clinic, with routes, levels and landmarks drawn clearly.

  5. Kiosk, Web & Phone Versions

The same map shaped for a touch screen kiosk, an embed on your website and a phone link or QR code, in the languages you need.

  6. Briefing Films & Stills

Fly through films (MP4) and stills (JPEG) from the same model, for opening briefings, events, operations meetings and reports.

Try the idea

Coded demos that show how these visuals behave on a screen. They are illustrations we built for this page, not client projects.

How it works

  1. Step 1: Brief and drawings

Site and floor plans in CAD or PDF, SketchUp (.skp) or Revit (.rvt) models, 2024 version preferred, the list of places to mark and your brand guidelines.

  2. Step 2: Scope the model

We agree the area, the level of detail, the screens it runs on and what is clickable. Any live data or system link is listed separately, with your own suppliers.

  3. Step 3: Build and review

We build the model and the views, then walk them with your operations or visitor team and fix routes, names and labels.

  4. Step 4: Hand over

The interactive views as a link or embed, kiosk and phone versions, MP4 films and JPEG stills, with a short guide on what your team can update.

Our 3D work is shown in private

Most 3D projects are under client confidentiality until launch, so we do not publish them here. Ask for a private portfolio walkthrough and we will show relevant examples on a call.

Questions

What do you mean by a digital twin?

A visual 3D copy of your building or site that people can explore on a screen. It shows layout, floors, zones and routes. It is not a live control system unless that is specifically scoped.

Can it show live data from sensors or our building systems?

Not by default. Live sensor, IoT or BMS data needs your own systems and suppliers, and is only possible if we scope it together per project. Many clients start with the visual twin alone.

Does the wayfinding show a blue dot for where I am?

Standard maps use a fixed you are here point on each kiosk and clear routes on phones. Live indoor positioning needs hardware on site and is scoped separately with your suppliers.

How much does a digital twin cost?

It is quoted per project. The size of the site, the level of detail, how much is clickable, the number of languages and screens decide it. Send your drawings and we quote.

What is the difference between a digital twin and BIM?

BIM is the engineering model your designers work in. Our twin is a visual model made for people who are not engineers: visitors, buyers, investors and staff. We can build it from your BIM model.

What files do you need?

Site and floor plans in DWG or PDF, any SketchUp or Revit model (2024 version preferred), the list of places to mark and your brand guidelines. Large files can come as a Drive or WeTransfer link.

Can our team update the map later?

Simple changes such as a shop name or an opening can be planned for in the scope. Bigger changes, like a new wing, are new modelling work and quoted first.

How long does it take?

A full set typically takes 30 to 40 days, depending on scope. A single building is usually quicker than a district.

How many revisions are included?

Revision rounds are included in every quote, at model, routes and final stage. A change to the drawings after modelling starts is new scope.

Can we see a twin you have built?

Most of this work is private to the client, so request a portfolio walkthrough and we show examples live. The illustrations on this page are coded demos.

Tell us about the place people need to find their way around.

A short brief is enough: the site, the drawings or model you have, where the map or model will be shown and who uses it. We reply with questions and a quote.
