Art Direction Art direction for shoots and campaigns in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Saudi audiences notice when a campaign was shot for somewhere else. We set the look, the casting and the details for the Kingdom first, then make sure the shoot delivers it.

For brands, developers and agencies in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and across Saudi Arabia preparing a launch, a seasonal campaign or a content shoot.

Content that looks borrowed.

A lot of campaign content in Saudi Arabia still feels imported: stock style lighting, casting that does not look like the customers, homes and streets that could be anywhere. Saudi audiences scroll past it. Then there are the practical misses: an abaya styled wrongly, a majlis set that feels like a hotel lobby, a Ramadan shoot with daytime eating in the background.

Art direction fixes this before the day. We decide what the content should feel like for a Saudi viewer, plan casting, wardrobe, locations and props with care, and plan every placement, including vertical video for Snapchat and TikTok. On set, one person keeps the look on brief, and in the edit we check the result against what you approved.

What you get

You get a concept and moodboards to approve, shot lists for every placement, direction on casting, wardrobe and locations, an art director on set and a review of the final edit.

  1. Creative Concept

One clear idea for the shoot or campaign, written in a few lines, with the reason it fits your brand and your audience.

  2. Moodboards & References

Moodboards for light, colour, composition, wardrobe and props, so everyone agrees what the result should look like before a camera is booked.

  3. Shot List & Storyboard

A shot list or storyboard for every format you need: website, social, print and paid ads, horizontal and vertical.

  4. Casting, Styling & Sets

Direction on talent, wardrobe, locations, props and set dressing, with the cultural details checked for the market you sell in.

  5. On-set Direction

An art director on the day, making the calls on framing, styling and light so the shoot stays on brief and on time.

  6. Edit & Retouch Review

Review of the edit, grade and retouching, so the final images and films still match the moodboard you approved.

Planning a shoot and unsure how it should look?

Tell us what you are launching, where the content will run and when. We reply with questions and a scoped quote.

How it works

  1. Step 1: Brief

What you are launching, where the content will run, who it must persuade and what your brand has looked like so far.

  2. Step 2: Concept

A short written idea and moodboards. You approve the look before anyone is booked.

  3. Step 3: Prepare

Shot list, casting, locations, wardrobe and props agreed with you and the production team.

  4. Step 4: Shoot and review

Direction on set, then a review of the edit and retouching against the approved look.

Questions

How much does art direction cost in Saudi Arabia?

It depends on scope: concept only, or full preparation and days on set, and how many formats and cities. Send a short brief and we quote a fixed scope. Crew, studio, location and talent costs are shown on separate lines.

Do you understand what works with Saudi audiences?

That is the core of the job. We plan casting, wardrobe, settings and behaviour for the Saudi market at the moodboard stage, and we raise anything that could feel off before it is shot.

Can you direct a shoot in Jeddah or Dammam?

Yes. Our studio is in Riyadh and we travel to shoots across the Kingdom. Travel is listed in the proposal.

Can you work with our production company?

Yes. We give your crew the concept, moodboards and shot list, and direct the look on the day while they run the production.

Do you plan content for Snapchat and TikTok as well as print?

Yes. Vertical, square and horizontal frames are planned in the shot list, so short video is shot for the phone rather than cropped later.

Can you art direct a Ramadan or National Day campaign?

Yes. Seasonal shoots need early planning for casting, sets and timing, so send the brief well ahead of the season.

Do location and filming permits fall under your scope?

Permits are arranged by the production company or the location owner. We plan around them and tell you early which locations will need one.

Who owns the final content?

Your company owns the approved final files, as written in the proposal. Talent and music rights are agreed separately and listed, so there are no surprises when an ad runs longer.

How many revisions are included?

The proposal sets rounds for concept and moodboards. A new look after preparation has started is new scope, and we say so immediately.

Can you create a visual guide for future shoots?

Yes. The approved look can become a short photography and video guide for your agencies and in-house team.

Tell us about the shoot or campaign.

A short brief is enough: the product or place, the formats, the date and any references you like. We reply with questions and a fixed-scope quote.
