How much does a 360 virtual tour cost?

What sets the cost of a 360 virtual tour: viewpoints, the model, furnishing, hotspots, languages, devices and delivery.

Ask three companies “how much is a 360 virtual tour” and you may get three answers that are not even for the same product. Searches like “360 virtual tour cost” and «تكلفة جولة افتراضية 360» cover very different jobs, from a camera set up in a finished hotel room to a fully rendered tour of an off-plan tower that has no walls yet.

This guide has no price list. A figure here would be wrong for your project. It explains what a rendered 360 tour is made of, which factors move the cost, and what a quote should list so you can compare offers fairly.

First, which kind of 360 tour do you mean?

There are two very different products under the same name.

A photographed tour is shot on site with a 360 camera. It suits a building that already exists and looks the way you want to sell it: a finished hotel, a showroom, a furnished villa. The cost depends on the site, the number of camera points and the travel.

A rendered tour is made from your drawings or 3D model. Nothing is photographed, because there is nothing to photograph yet. It suits off-plan units, new offices, hotels before opening, campus buildings and any space that is still being designed or refitted. This is the kind we make, and the rest of this guide is about it.

If you are still deciding whether a tour is worth it for an off-plan launch, our guide on how a 360 virtual tour helps sell off-plan property covers where it earns its place.

The factors that move the cost of a rendered tour

Number of viewpoints. This is the biggest single factor. Each viewpoint is a full panoramic render that looks in every direction, floor and ceiling included. There is no hiding an unfinished corner behind the camera, so every point needs the whole room dressed and lit.

Unit types and repeated layouts. A tower with three unit types needs three sets of rooms, not one per apartment. Mirrored and repeated layouts share most of the work. Tell us how many unit types there are and which rooms in each you want buyers to stand in.

Whether a 3D model exists. With a SketchUp (.skp) or Revit (.rvt) model, 2024 version preferred, we start from it. From AutoCAD (DWG) or PDF drawings only, we build the model first, and that time is part of the quote.

Furnishing and styling. An empty shell is lighter work than a furnished home with rugs, curtains, artwork and lighting chosen piece by piece. Furniture should be at true scale so rooms are read honestly, and it should suit Saudi families: a majlis that looks like a majlis, privacy between guest and family areas.

Material detail. In a tour the viewer can turn and look closely at the kitchen worktop or the bathroom tiles. Close views need real material detail that matches the specification.

Shared areas and exterior. Lobby, gym, pool, rooftop, landscaped courtyards and the arrival view each add viewpoints, and exterior points need the site, the sky and the neighbouring plots.

Day, night and finish options. A dusk version, or two finish packages buyers can switch between, means a second set of renders for each affected point.

Navigation and hotspots. Moving between points, a floor plan map that shows where you stand, room labels, and information hotspots that open text or links all need setting up. Linking each unit type to its plan works well with interactive floor plans.

Languages. Arabic and English labels and menus, with the Arabic laid out right to left, are planned from the start.

Where it runs. A phone browser and a website embed are the usual starting point. A version for a VR headset in the sales centre is its own line; our VR and sales experience centre page explains that setup.

How it is handed over. How the tour is delivered, where it is hosted and for how long are set out in the quote, so nothing is assumed.

Revisions and design changes. Revision rounds are included in every quote. A change to the design itself after rendering, such as a new kitchen layout, is new scope, and we raise it before work continues.

What else uses the same model. If you also need stills, a project film or floor plans, they share the modelling work. Planning them together usually costs less than ordering each piece separately later.

What a fair 360 tour quote should list

  • Every viewpoint by name and the unit type or area it belongs to.
  • Whether modelling from drawings is included.
  • The furnishing level and the material detail.
  • Day, night or finish options as separate lines.
  • Navigation, floor plan map, hotspots and languages.
  • Devices: phone, website, VR headset.
  • Hand-over and hosting terms.
  • Revision rounds and what counts as new scope.

A quote that leaves several of these out is not necessarily cheaper. It is often quoting a smaller tour.

Three things that raise the cost later

  • Starting before drawings are final. Every moved wall after rendering touches several viewpoints at once.
  • An open number of points. “The whole apartment” means different things to different people. Agree the list.
  • Forgetting the Arabic version. Adding Arabic labels and menus after delivery is more work than planning both languages from the start.

A note on off-plan tours

A rendered tour of an unbuilt project is an artist’s impression. Label it that way on the tour and on the page that hosts it, and check your sales material with your own legal adviser and the relevant authority before it goes public. We render the design as drawn, without features that are not in your plans.

Send your drawings for a quote

Send your drawings or model, the unit types, the rooms and areas you want covered and where the tour will be used through the start a project form. Large files can come as a Drive or WeTransfer link. Send your drawings, get a quote within 48 hours. To see what a tour from us looks like first, request a private portfolio walkthrough on a call, or read more about 3D animation and virtual tours.

Questions

Do you price a 360 tour per room or per viewpoint?

We quote per agreed scope, and the quote names every viewpoint: the living room of unit type A, the lobby, the pool deck. A large room can need two points and a corridor none, so naming the points is clearer than a rate per room.

Can buyers open the tour on a phone?

Yes. The tour runs in a phone or computer browser, so your sales team can send it as a WhatsApp link or place it on your website. A VR headset version for a sales centre is a separate line in the quote.

Can you make a 360 tour of a building that already exists?

We make rendered tours from drawings and 3D models, so they suit spaces that are not built, not finished or about to be refitted. For a finished and furnished building, a photographic tour shot on site is usually the better route.
