Brand Guidelines Brand guidelines design agency

Your logo is fine. The problem is that every agency, printer and distributor uses it a little differently. We write the rules down, draw them, and hand over the files that make them easy to follow.

For brands that already have a logo and work with several agencies, printers or distributors, often in more than one market and language.

One brand, five versions of it.

It usually starts with a logo and nothing else. Then a distributor recolours it, an agency picks a new font for a campaign, and someone in sales builds a presentation from scratch. Each decision is small. A year later the brand looks like several companies, and nobody can say which version is right.

Guidelines fix that only if people actually use them. A long PDF of principles gets ignored. A short book with the codes, the files and real examples of right and wrong gets opened, because it answers the question the supplier has at that moment. That is the kind we write.

When teams ask for guidelines

  • Briefing a new agency or distributor
  • Opening in a new market
  • After a merger or a new product line
  • Onboarding marketing staff
  • Fixing a brand that has drifted

What you get

You get an audit of how the brand is used today, a guidelines book with clear rules and examples, templates for everyday documents, and a file kit your suppliers can use.

  1. Brand Audit

A review of how your brand is applied today, across print, signage, social and documents, with the inconsistencies listed and photographed.

  2. Logo & Colour Rules

Clear rules for the logo and colours: clear space, minimum size, backgrounds, colour codes for screen, print and paint, and the misuses to avoid.

  3. Arabic & Latin Typography

Arabic and Latin typefaces with sizes, weights and pairing rules, so both languages look like one brand in every document.

  4. Layout & Imagery Rules

Grids, photography and illustration rules, icon style and tone of voice, shown with real examples rather than abstract principles.

  5. Templates

Ready templates for the pieces you produce most: letterhead, presentation, social posts, email signature and the documents your team sends.

  6. Guidelines Book & File Kit

The guidelines as a PDF and an organised file kit, named so a printer, sign maker or new agency finds the right file without asking.

Your brand looks different on every supplier’s work?

Send your logo files and a few photos of how the brand is applied today. We reply with questions and a scoped quote.

How it works

  1. Step 1: Audit

We collect what is in use today, from the shop sign to the last PowerPoint, and agree what stays, what changes and what is missing.

  2. Step 2: Rules

Logo, colour, type, layout and imagery rules are written and drawn, in Arabic and Latin, and checked on real applications.

  3. Step 3: Templates

The documents your team makes every week are built as templates that already follow the rules.

  4. Step 4: Hand over

The guidelines book, the file kit and a short walk through with your team and the suppliers who apply the brand.

Questions

How much do brand guidelines cost?

It depends on what is in scope: how much of the identity already exists, how many languages, how many templates and applications, and whether we audit your current material. Send a short brief and we quote a fixed scope so you know what is included.

We do not have a full identity yet. Is this the right page?

If you only have a logo and want the rest designed, the brand identity service is the better fit, and guidelines are part of it. This service is for brands whose look is decided and needs writing down and rolling out.

How long are the guidelines?

As short as they can be while still answering real questions. We would rather give you a focused book that people open than a long one that sits in a folder.

Can you work from our existing logo files?

Yes. If the files are poor, we rebuild them cleanly first, keeping the design the same, so the guidelines rest on correct artwork.

Do the guidelines cover Arabic?

Yes, when your brand uses it. Arabic type, sizes and layout direction get their own rules and examples, not a note at the end.

Do we get templates, or only rules?

Both, within the scope you choose. Templates are usually what keeps a brand consistent day to day, because people start from them instead of a blank page.

In what format will we receive them?

A PDF guidelines book and an organised folder of logos, colours, fonts information and templates. If you want an online version for a team portal, ask for it in the brief.

Who owns the guidelines and files?

You do. Ownership of the guidelines, templates and files is agreed in writing in the proposal.

Can you brief our suppliers on them?

Yes. A short walk through with your team, printer or agency is part of the hand over, so the rules are explained once by the people who wrote them.

Tell us where your brand is drifting.

A short brief is enough: what you have now, who applies the brand and which pieces cause the most trouble. We reply with questions and a fixed-scope quote.
