Menu Design Menu design for restaurants and cafes in Manama, Bahrain

Bahrain’s dining scene is busy and social: guests compare menus on Instagram before they book, scan a QR code at the table and reorder on Talabat the next week. We design the menu to look like the same restaurant in all three places.

For restaurants, cafes, bakeries and hotel outlets in Manama, Adliya, Seef, Muharraq and across Bahrain, serving Bahraini, Saudi and expatriate guests.

Guests from three countries reading one menu.

A Bahraini cafe at the weekend can serve local families, visitors from Saudi Arabia across the causeway and expatriate regulars in the same hour. A menu written for only one of them confuses the others: Arabic names nobody explained, English descriptions that do not translate, prices hidden in small type.

We design the Arabic and English together, often side by side, with dish names that make sense to every guest and a layout that reads quickly. The same content feeds the QR menu and the delivery app listings, so a dish has one name and one photo wherever guests find it.

What Bahraini restaurants ask for

  • Bilingual table menus
  • QR menus
  • Delivery app images
  • Brunch and weekend menus
  • Hotel outlet and event menus

What you get

You get a menu structure you approve first, printed and QR versions in your brand, delivery app images that match, and files your team can update.

  1. Menu Structure & Copy

The order of sections and dishes, the names and short descriptions, planned so guests find the dishes you most want to sell without searching.

  2. Printed Menus

Table menus, menu boards, takeaway leaflets and table cards designed in your brand and prepared for the printer and paper you choose.

  3. QR & Digital Menus

A menu designed for the phone, as a light PDF or as content for your QR menu, easy to read in one hand at a dim table.

  4. Delivery App Images

Dish and category images sized for the delivery apps you list on, with names and descriptions that match the printed menu.

  5. Arabic & English Menus

An Arabic menu set right to left and an English menu in the same design, with dish names written naturally in each language.

  6. Editable Menu Files

Open files and a simple layout your team can update when dishes or prices change, so a new item does not mean a new menu from scratch.

Opening soon, or a menu that no longer fits the food?

Send your dish list, photos and logo, and tell us where the menu will be used. We reply with questions and a scoped quote.

How it works

  1. Step 1: Brief

Your concept, your guests, the dishes and categories, and where the menu lives: on the table, on a board, behind a QR code, in the delivery apps.

  2. Step 2: Structure

We propose the sections, the order, and the names and descriptions to write or edit. You approve the content before design starts.

  3. Step 3: Design

A first page in your brand, then the full menu and the digital versions. You send one combined set of comments per round.

  4. Step 4: Hand over

Print files checked with your printer, the phone version, the delivery app images and the open files for updates.

Questions

How much does menu design cost in Bahrain?

It depends on the scope: categories and dishes, print and digital versions, Arabic and English copy, photography and the deadline. Send your dish list and current menu and we quote a fixed scope.

Should our menu be bilingual on one page?

Often yes in Bahrain, with Arabic and English side by side, because guests mix. For a longer menu, two editions in one design read more easily. We recommend one in the proposal.

Can you prepare images for Talabat and other apps?

Yes. Dish and category images in each app’s sizes, with names matching your menu. Your team uploads them from the merchant account, or we hand over files ready to upload.

Is a free menu template good enough?

For a pop up, possibly. For a restaurant competing on a busy street, the menu is part of the experience guests post about, and it has to work in two languages. A template does neither particularly well.

Do you design QR menus?

Yes. We design for the phone and supply a light PDF or content for your QR system; the system itself comes from your POS or menu provider.

Do you add calories and allergens?

When your menu shows them, your kitchen supplies the values and we present them clearly. We do not calculate or verify them.

Can we update prices ourselves?

Yes. The files are set up so your team can change prices and dish names, and we show you how.

Where are you based?

We have a studio in Manama, and most of the work, from the brief to the final proof, runs on video calls, email and WhatsApp.

Tell us about the menu you need.

A short brief is enough to start: the concept, the number of categories, the languages, print, QR or delivery apps, and your opening or relaunch date. We reply with questions and a fixed scope quote.
