Innovation Strategy New product development in Manama, Bahrain

In a small market, a product that misses is noticed fast. We help Bahraini businesses test new offers cheaply, with local and Saudi customers, before building anything big.

For Bahraini family firms, SMEs and startups in Manama, Muharraq and across the island that want a new offer or a new line of business.

You have a new idea and no way to know if customers want it.

A Bahrain business owner often has several ideas at once: a second product line, a delivery service, an online version of the shop. The market is compact, so a mistake is costly and a small test is possible, but few people set one up properly.

We turn the idea into a testable concept, show it to real customers in Bahrain and, where relevant, Saudi Arabia, and see what they say and do. Business-model options show whether the idea works for you at your scale, and the roadmap breaks it into small steps rather than one big bet.

What Bahrain businesses explore

  • A second product or service line
  • An online or delivery version
  • A premium or budget offer
  • A Saudi version of an offer
  • A new customer group

What you get

You get opportunity areas, a short workshop, concept tests, a simple prototype, business-model options including a Saudi route, and a practical roadmap.

  1. Opportunity Areas

A short list of areas where a new product or service could fit, drawn from your customers, your strengths and what the market lacks.

  2. Idea Workshops

Facilitated workshops, including design-sprint formats, that take your team from problem to a handful of concepts in days, not months.

  3. Concept Testing

Each concept shown to real customers in interviews or simple tests, with what they liked, doubted and would pay attention to.

  4. Prototypes

A clickable or physical prototype of the strongest concept, built to be tested, not to impress.

  5. Business-Model Options

Two or three ways the idea could make money or be delivered, with the risks of each written down.

  6. Roadmap

A phased roadmap of what to test, build and decide next, with owners and the signals that mean go or stop.

How it works

  1. Step 1: Frame

The problem, the customers, the limits and what success would look like for your business.

  2. Step 2: Explore

Research, workshops and a wide set of ideas, narrowed together to a few concepts worth testing.

  3. Step 3: Test

Concepts and a prototype shown to real customers, with the results written up honestly.

  4. Step 4: Decide

Business-model options and a roadmap, so you know what to build, what to park and what to drop.

Questions

How much does new product development support cost?

It depends on scope: the workshop length, concepts tested and whether a prototype is built. We size it to a small business and quote a defined scope.

Do you need a big team for the workshop?

No. A founder and two or three people who know customers are enough. We adapt the format to the time you have.

Can you test an idea on Instagram or WhatsApp?

Yes. Simple tests such as a landing page or a limited pre-order can show interest cheaply, if run honestly and with clear terms for customers.

Do you build the finished product?

We build prototypes to test. For the real thing, we can continue with design and development, or hand over to your team.

Can you help with funding or grants?

No. We do not advise on funding, grants or government programmes. We can prepare concept evidence for you to share.

Can you test in Saudi Arabia too?

Yes, through our Riyadh studio and local partners. Saudi customers and prices differ, so we test them separately.

Will our idea stay private?

Yes. We can sign a confidentiality agreement and run sessions without naming your brand.

Who owns the outputs?

You do. All materials are handed over and ownership is in the proposal.
