Company profile design cost in Saudi Arabia: what changes the price
What drives company profile design cost in Saudi Arabia: pages, content writing, Arabic and English, photography and print. Scope a quote you can compare.
Ask three agencies in Riyadh, Jeddah or Dammam for a company profile quote and you will probably get three very different numbers. That is not always because one of them is overcharging. More often, each agency has imagined a different project. One pictured a designer laying out text you already have. Another pictured a writer interviewing your managers, two languages, a photographer on site and a print run.
This guide does not give you a price list. Prices depend on the agency, the scope and the timing, and any number printed in an article would mislead you. Instead, it explains the factors that move company profile design cost in Saudi Arabia, so you can describe your project clearly and compare quotes fairly.
What a quote is actually paying for
A company profile project has four kinds of work in it, and every quote is some mix of them:
- Structure. Deciding what goes in, in what order, for which reader. A profile for tender submissions is organised differently from one handed out at an exhibition.
- Content. Writing, editing and translating the text, and gathering the facts behind it: projects, certificates, team, equipment.
- Design. The layout system, typography in Arabic and English, charts, maps, icons and the cover.
- Production. Photography, image editing, final files for screen and print, and print management if you need physical copies.
When two quotes differ a lot, the first question to ask is which of these four each one includes. A quote that only covers design will always look cheaper than one that covers all four, but you will pay for the missing parts somewhere else, usually in your own team’s time.
Page count and depth
The number of pages matters, but not in a straight line. A 12-page profile is not half the work of a 24-page one. The cover, the layout system and the type styles are designed once; after that, each extra page costs less, unless it introduces something new.
What really moves the effort is depth. Ask yourself:
- How many services or business lines need their own section?
- How many past projects will be written up in detail, and how many listed in a table?
- Do you need an organisation chart, a map of locations, an equipment list or charts of capacity?
- Will there be one version, or a short sales profile plus a longer tender profile?
A profile with three detailed case studies and a clear project table is often more useful, and less work, than one that tries to describe forty projects in full.
Content writing: the biggest hidden variable
In most company profile projects, content is where time goes. Design cannot start properly until the text exists, and the text rarely exists in usable form.
There are roughly three starting points:
- You supply final, approved text in both languages. The agency designs. This is the leanest scope, but be honest about whether the text really is final.
- You supply rough material. Old profiles, website copy, project lists, a few notes. The agency edits, restructures and fills gaps. This is the most common situation.
- You supply access. The agency interviews your management and project teams, collects facts and writes from scratch. This takes the longest and needs the most coordination, but it usually produces the clearest profile.
Design cannot start properly until the text exists, and the text rarely exists in usable form.
If you are comparing quotes, check which of these each agency has assumed. Also check how many rounds of content revisions are included, and who signs off the facts. Technical claims, certificate details and project data should always be approved by your own team.
Arabic, English or both
For companies selling to Saudi government entities, giga-projects, contractors and large private buyers, a bilingual company profile is usually expected. How you handle the two languages changes the effort:
- Two separate documents (one Arabic, one English) means two complete layouts. Arabic reads right to left, so the whole page mirrors: grids, images, page order, charts. It is not a copy and paste.
- One document with facing pages keeps both languages together. It suits print well, but it is harder to read on a phone and harder to keep in sync.
- Mixed headings with body text in one language suit short profiles only.
Then there is the writing itself. Translating English into Arabic word for word produces text that reads like a translation. Writing in Arabic properly, or adapting the content so it reads naturally, takes a skilled writer and adds time. It is also where errors hide: numbers, dates, units and names in mixed-direction text need careful proofreading in both languages.
Typography matters too. An Arabic typeface that pairs well with your Latin one makes both versions feel like the same company. Licensed fonts may carry their own cost.
Photography and visuals
Stock photos of handshakes and city skylines make a profile look like every other profile. Real photos of your sites, team, products and premises do more work, even when they are simple. Your options affect the scope:
- Use existing photos. Cheapest, if you have usable images. Expect some editing, cropping and colour correction.
- Commission a shoot. A photographer on site for a day or two, plus planning, permits for some locations, and editing. Worth it if the photos will also be used on your website, LinkedIn and tender packs.
- Illustrations, icons, maps and infographics. Useful for explaining processes, locations and capacity without photos. Each custom graphic adds design time.
If you are planning a shoot anyway, plan it with the profile in mind. Our guide to planning a corporate shoot that actually gets used covers how to get more from one shoot day.
Print, digital or both
Most company profiles are now read as PDFs, on laptops and phones, and uploaded to vendor registration portals. A digital-first profile needs a small file size, clickable links and contact details, and a contents page or bookmarks.
Print adds its own work and cost:
- Print-ready files with correct bleed, colour profiles and image resolution.
- Paper choice, binding, finishing (embossing, spot varnish, special covers) and quantity.
- Proofs and press checks before the full run.
Some companies produce a landscape digital version for screens and a portrait version for print. That is two layouts, so include it in the brief if you need it.
Timeline and approvals
Rushed timelines cost more because they need more people working in parallel and leave less room for mistakes. A tender deadline next week is a real constraint, so say so early. A good agency will tell you what can realistically be done in that time and what should wait for a second phase.
Approvals affect cost as much as the deadline does. A profile that needs sign-off from five managers, each with their own edits, takes longer than one with a single decision maker. Agree internally who approves content and who approves design before the project starts.
How to get a quote you can compare
Send every agency the same short brief. Include:
- Who the profile is for (tenders, vendor registration, sales meetings, exhibitions).
- Rough page count, and whether you need one version or two.
- What content you already have, and in which language.
- Arabic, English or both, and in what format.
- Whether you have usable photos or need a shoot.
- Digital only, or print too, with an approximate quantity.
- Your real deadline and who approves.
Ask each agency to list what is included and what is not, how many revision rounds are covered, and what the final files will be. If you need help writing the brief itself, our guide on how to brief a creative agency has a one-page template, and what to put in a company profile covers the sections Saudi buyers expect.

Questions
Why do company profile quotes in Saudi Arabia vary so much?
Because agencies are often quoting different jobs. One quote may cover layout of text you supply, another may include interviews, copywriting in Arabic and English, a photo shoot and print management. Compare the scope line by line, not the totals.
Is it cheaper to write the content ourselves?
It can be, if someone on your team has the time and the knowledge to write clearly in both languages. The cost moves rather than disappears, and drafts written internally often need restructuring before design can start.
Do we need a separate profile for tenders and for sales?
Often yes. A short sales profile and a full tender profile serve different readers. Many companies commission one content base and two layouts, which is usually less work than two separate projects.
